LPG Cylinder Exchange (SEYPEC Baie Ste Anne)

4° 20.5′ S · 55° 45.5′ E

The Seychelles Petroleum (SEYPEC) service station on the Baie Ste Anne main road, the nearest place to the charter base to swap an empty cooking-gas cylinder.

Practical

SEYPEC sells LPG in 5 kg and 10 kg composite and 9, 12 and 24 kg steel cylinders; empty cylinders are exchanged at all its service stations and appointed district distributors, and new cylinders need an ID card; LPG listed at SCR 17.50/kg (no date given; verify locally). The page describes an exchange system, not refilling of foreign bottles, so bring an adaptor or plan on a local cylinder. Hours per SEYPEC: Mon-Sat 7am-10:30pm, Sun and public holidays 7am-6pm (OSM lists shorter hours). The other Praslin station is at Grand Anse (Mon-Sat 7am-8:30pm). Call SEYPEC on 4290600 to confirm Praslin stock. About 900 m by road from the jetty; road fuel in jerry cans as well. Coordinate: OSM fuel station node.
