Tapiutan Caverns & Boulders Dive Site

11° 12.1′ N · 119° 16.3′ E · approximate

Caverns and big boulders at the western edge of Bacuit Bay, among the longest dive trips from town - green and hawksbill turtles, barracuda, crocodilefish and the odd blacktip reef shark.

Practical

Approx: plotted on the Tapiutan side of Tapiutan Strait (OpenStreetMap strait 11.2008, 119.2748); exact site not published. Palawan Divers: 30 m, mild current, 45-60 minutes by boat; only run when the weather allows, because the strait lies outside the sheltered bay and is the first route closed in a blow. Moorings in the strait - see 'Tapiutan-Matinloc Moorings (Tapiutan Strait)'.
