Snake Island South Anchorage (Vigan Island)
11° 5.3′ N · 119° 20.5′ E
The better-protected of two anchorages at Vigan (Snake) Island, where a serpentine sandbar snakes across the water at low tide - and a mooring with a fresh-water pipe.
Practical
Hacking Family: 11°05.34'N 119°20.49'E, 48 ft (about 15 m) mud, room for several boats and better protected than the north side; use satellite imagery for the reefs. Moorings to the east are in only 15 ft. A mooring near the point has a water pipe - the house ashore turns on the water if you pick it up (price unknown; agree first). Cathedral Cave is about 3 nm SE. Globe 4G, Smart 3G.
