Long Beach Anchorage (San Vicente)

10° 33.6′ N · 119° 17.3′ E · approximate

A daytime anchorage off the 14.7 km sweep of Long Beach, billed as the longest white-sand beach in the Philippines, about 3 nm northeast of San Vicente port.

Practical

Position approximate: about 600 m off the beach in the bay north of the San Vicente headland, checked as water against the OpenStreetMap coastline; no published soundings or holding, so come in slowly and anchor on sand off the surf line. The beach faces northwest: open to the southwest monsoon and to northerly swell; a fair-weather day stop rather than an overnight. Surf landing by dinghy can be wet. Services are in San Vicente town to the southwest.
