Coron Cooking Gas (LPG) and Petrol Stations

12° 0.2′ N · 120° 11.9′ E

Where to sort cooking gas and petrol for the outboard in Coron, where tank refills are not done and gas comes by swapping local cylinders.

Practical

Position: Petron station at the west end of town (OpenStreetMap). Soggy Paws (2024): for safety reasons the Philippines prohibits refilling propane tanks; there is a swap-your-tank system, so if you are staying a while buy a local cylinder (with a regulator to suit) and swap it at LPG dealers and sari-sari stores in town. No Coron business advertising foreign-cylinder refills was found: arrive with full tanks. Petrol and diesel: Petron (this point), Filoil behind the port (11.9924N 120.2119E), Sinamay Gasoline Station (11.9990N 120.2109E), and Shell, Petron and Caltex along the national road toward the airport (OSM). In Busuanga Bay, Busuanga Bay Lodge can supply small amounts of fuel by jerry can if pre-arranged, at about twice pump price (RCC 2025); on the north coast El Rio y Mar has fuel on request.
