San Blas Port Captain
21° 32.2′ N · 105° 17.3′ W
The Capitanía de Puerto for San Blas, the official port of entry between Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta. It's a short walk from the estuary landings.
Practical
Noonsite (2016): check-in and check-out are done by VHF 16 to the Port Captain, most likely in Spanish, or in person at the office, a short distance along the road from the old 'Pepe's' dinghy landing (turn right). The Port Captain also controls the bar: when big swell is running, ask about conditions before attempting the entrance. Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap Capitanía de Puerto building. Office hours: verify locally.
Best for
Clearing in or out between Mazatlán and Banderas Bay
