La Bufadora

31° 43.4′ N · 116° 43.4′ W

A marine blowhole near the tip of the Punta Banda peninsula, about 18 km south-west of downtown Ensenada, that fires spray high above the cliffs with each swell - billed by Hotel Coral as one of the world's largest marine geysers.

Practical

Coordinate from the OpenStreetMap blowhole node. A land trip, not a boat stop: Hotel Coral & Marina runs transport to La Bufadora, and taxis go from town. From the sea, Punta Banda (Cabo Banda) marks the south side of Bahía de Todos Santos - southbound, The Log advises staying 2 nm west of craggy Punta Santo Tomás 12 nm past Punta Banda to avoid a kelp-covered pinnacle.
