Bahía Bacochibampo Anchorage
27° 55.1′ N · 110° 57.2′ W · approximate
The bay between San Carlos and Guaymas, sheltered by headlands, with Marina Bacochibampo, a pearl farm and the Playa de Cortés hotel beach — a quieter alternative to the San Carlos anchorage.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate: mid-bay, set in the water off the OpenStreetMap coastline (east beach at about 110.946 W; north shore at about 27.926 N). The Log lists Bacochibampo among the San Carlos-region south-wind shelters. The bay opens to the SW — exposed to wind and swell from that quarter. No depths or bottom type in the source — sound in. Marina Bacochibampo is at the head of the bay (OSM 27.9266 N, 110.9465 W); the Pearl Farm tour is on the bay; Hotel Playa de Cortés sits on the SE beach. Guaymas town is a short taxi away.
