Makaha Caverns

A cluster of lava caverns and ledges off Makaha served by several state day-use moorings, a west-side favorite for turtles and cave topography.

Practical

Six mooring positions in the state GIS day-use mooring layer named Makaha Caverns (21.4745-21.47833 N, 158.2244-158.2295 W). Nearby moorings are named Land of Oz (21.477, -158.227) and Big Mouth Cave (21.45692, -158.2173). Use the moorings; west-side dive sites are exposed to winter north-west swell.
