Uturoa's airport, built on reclaimed land on the north tip of Raiatea. It is the fly-in hub for every Leeward Islands charter and many crew changes.
Practical
Air Tahiti and Air Moana agencies, a freight desk, car rental and a good lunch restaurant (brief). It is 4 km (15 minutes) from the Marina Uturoa base (Dream Yacht guide), with Apooiti a walk away. You can reach it by dinghy. Taxis wait outside the terminal. When sailing north of Raiatea, do not enter the restricted area at the runway end.
