Raiatea's most accessible surf: a left that barrels over a shallow reef at the west-coast pass opposite Pointe Mirimiri. Local dive centres also run current dives in the pass.

Surf-forecast gives the break at about 16.76°S 151.49°W (2 dp only); the official chart puts Rautoanui Pass at about 16°45.5'S 151°30.1'W. Usually reached by boat from Uturoa. Best surf season is May–September with offshore SW winds. Agree surfing with local surfers first (brief). The 2020 Noonsite comment that 'Miri Miri is to be avoided; yachts are not welcome there' refers to anchoring off Pointe Mirimiri, which is not a ZMR.
