Hanamenu Hollywood Pool Spring

Just behind the beach at Hanamenu, a clear spring-fed stream fills a pool among tropical flowers. Cruisers call it the 'Hollywood pool', the reward for the rolly anchorage.
Practical
Approximate position: a short walk inland from the beach (derived from cruiser descriptions and the OpenStreetMap hamlet position). Cruisers swam here after a local guided them (2014). A 2017 visit found it flooded and brown after heavy rain. The 2026 brief notes a natural spring and waterfall and asks visitors to ALWAYS ask the residents' permission first. Older guides add a hike through village ruins to a dry plateau with wild horses. Do not wash with soap in the pool.
