Gustavus Dock and Small-Boat Harbor

58° 23.4′ N · 135° 43.8′ W

Gustavus's state ferry terminal and freight dock on Icy Strait has a small-boat harbor next to it, reached by a gangway from the approach trestle, with a wave barrier on the dock giving some shelter. The village is the gateway to Glacier Bay, about 10 miles from Bartlett Cove.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM ferry dock. A state source describes the float system as a docking area for transient vessels only, with no facilities for overnight or long-term moorage (a 2021 state survey; current status unconfirmed). The DOT&PF owns the dock, and the City of Gustavus now owns the float. No marine fuel dock was confirmed, so verify before relying on it. It is open to the south-west; check wind and tide before using the float.
