Vrulje Hill Walk (Kornat)

43° 48.5′ N · 15° 18.3′ E

An old donkey track climbs from Vrulje up the ridge of Kornat to a viewpoint over the bare karst islands and the open sea beyond. It is the easiest way to see the archipelago from above.

Practical

Coordinate is the viewpoint (OSM relation 13023062, 'Kornati view'). Start from the village path by the konobas. Rough, rocky track with no shade: go early or late, wear proper shoes and carry water. There are no marked trails or visitor centre in the park, so keep to the existing path and do not build stone cairns (banned).

Best for

A sunset view over the Kornati

Season

Spring and autumn best; early or late in summer
