9° 34.4′ N · 125° 45.6′ E

A mud anchorage behind Lapinigan Island midway along the Hinatuan Passage - the place to wait for the tide before the narrows.

Practical

Waypoints (s/y Tenaya, Feb 2014, via Noonsite): from 09 35.0N 125 48.60E go 09 34.62N 125 47.70E, 09 34.56N 125 47.17E (between Pagbuy Rocks and Bagong Island), 09 34.12N 125 46.20E, 09 34.29N 125 45.66E; anchor 09 34.40N 125 45.64E. OCC forum (2000): anchor in mud about 8 m, don't go too far in - the reef rises steeply and isn't visible; an overhead cable to shore closes the inside passage; friendly islanders keep a yacht visitors' book.
